Fostering Sea Dip at Coney Beach - Sea, Sun, and Smiles:  Tuesday 6th May 2025 

Today was all about connection, laughter, and the invigorating power of the sea as our fostering family gathered at beautiful Coney Beach for a refreshing sea dip.

With blue skies above us and sunshine on our backs, spirits were high as we met on the sand, ready to take the plunge. We were thrilled to be joined by our lovely SSW Sinead, who came along on her maternity leave with beautiful baby Soulie – fully embracing the FCA spirit with plenty of cuddles and photo moments!

Our incredible Registered Manager April led the charge into the waves alongside Lisa, our energetic Participation Officer, and Mike, one of our fantastic Foster Parents. Their enthusiasm was contagious and truly captured the heart of what fostering is all about – togetherness, courage, and joy.

Sea dipping isn’t just fun – it’s a proven boost for wellbeing. The cold water helps lift your mood, reduce stress, and leave you feeling recharged. Combine that with sunshine, the sound of waves, and a group of amazing people, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for positivity.

After our dip (and lots of laughter and splashing), we warmed up with coffee and traditional Welsh cakes, soaking in the moment and each other’s company.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this day so special. It’s moments like this that remind us how strong our fostering community really is.
